Demi Lovato, 25, shows off her new hairstyle in recently shared photos
AmoMama follows Demi Lovato’s tour to bring you some juicy details as reported by Pop Culture on March 30. The "Tell Me You Love Me" singer has been battling body image issues for a long time and she seems to be winning.
Demi Lovato is sporting a new hairdo! The "Tell Me You Love Me" singer ditched her long mane for a short, sleek bob that she will be rocking during her tour, and she looks absolutely amazing. Those who have followed Lovato’s journey know that she has been battling body image issues for the longest tie, but her recent posts on Instagram tell a different story. This year, the singer seems to have faced her demons and accepted to live her best life and we couldn’t be happier.
The 25-year old is traveling the world for her Tell Me You Love Me World Tour, where she wanted to rock different hairdos every 90 minutes to go with her wardrobe changes. Her hairstylist Cesar Ramirez told Hollywood Life that they had to use wigs to achieve this look and hence the stylish bob. Now that the singer’s hair is much shorter, Ramirez says it’s possible to play with different styles and they are looking forward to doing just that during the tour.
Lovato has not only had to fight body issues, but she also admitted to having suicidal thoughts in an interview with Dr. Phil.
“The very first time that I was suicidal was when I was 7, and I had this fascination with death. I have experienced things that I’ve not talked about and that I don’t know if I ever will talk about. But at 7, I knew that if I were to take my own life that the pain would end.”
The American Idol winner went through a phase of drug and alcohol use but she has recovered and is using her personal experience to connect with those fighting similar demons. “If I could tell anybody that’s thinking about taking their own life, is to reach out to people. Don’t hold it inside — don’t isolate. Reach out to people, whether it’s close friends, family.”
