Rumors have been going around that Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have wed in a secret ceremony in the past.

Married or not, the couple seem to be in a very good place as they were spotted holding hands while out on a dinner date in Los Angeles on Wednesday evening.

The couple stepped out of a local restaurant after their romantic dinner date, with Miley dressed in a casual sweater and black skirt, and Liam in a dark blue bomber jacket, pants, and Converse sneakers.

The Australian actor was also spotted wearing a gold ring on his wedding finger, sparking further speculation that the two are indeed married.

Insiders claimed that the couple exchanged vows in Byron Bay, the place where Liam's brother Chris lives with his wife Elsa Pataky.

"It's such a special place for them. It felt right. It's where they realized that they couldn't live without each other and decided to really give their relationship another go. It was a no-brainer that it'd be the place they tied the knot."

During one of Chris' interviews while promoting his newest movie, he had a rather curious response to questions of the secret marriage.

'Thor' awkwardly said 'no' and giggled right after, during an interview with Sirius XM radio in New York.

"They're not officially married."

The couple once called off their engagement in 2013, but rekindled their love in January 2016 as they spent the New Year's in the seaside town they keep close to their hearts.

Miley, 25, and Liam, 28, met on the set of their movie 'The Last Song' in 2009, and have been together since despite their quick separation in 2013.
