World champion WWE athlete has passed away. He was struck by a truck in a tragic accident

The World Wrestling Entertainment and the public around them learned a devastating news: ‘Luscious’ Johnny Valiant passed away.

Everything happened on April 4, 2018, in Ross Township, Pennsylvania at around 5:30 a.m. Valiant, whose real name was Tommy Sullivan, was crossing a street when a pickup truck crossed through the intersection.

TMZ reported that the driver didn’t see Sullivan and struck him. He was immediately rushed to Allegheny General Hospital, but it was too late as his injuries were too severe for a 71-year-old man to survive.

It was a terrible loss not only for the WWE but also for the entertainment world as he went on an acting career after his time as a wrestler came to an end.

BBC revealed that he was an actor and comedian who appeared in several episodes of The Sopranos and Law & Order and shot many films. Sullivan even had a one-man show titled An Evening with Johnny Valiant.

It was so good that it garnered critical praise from Time Out New York, The Village Voice, and WBAI Pacifica Radio.

His career as a wrestler was very successful as he won many titles, including 2 World Wide Wrestling Federation World Tag Team Championships, a World Wrestling Association World Heavyweight Championship, and 4 WWA World Tag Team Championship.

He won most of the tag team championships with his brother, Jimmy Valiant, and they are considered one of the most unstoppable forces in the 70s. His actions led the WWE Hall of Fame to induct him in 1996.

Not only did he won many titles but also he became the manager of several famous wrestlers, including Brutus Beefcake, Hulk Hogan, The Spoiler, Dino Bravo, and The Destructive Crew.

All the impact he had in the industry made him be a very important person that many others admired, which is why so many people mourned his passing.
