Amal Clooney wowed onlookers as she stepped out in New York City looking effortlessly chic on April 9, 2018, as reported by Daily Mail.

The 40-year-old human rights lawyer, who is married to 56-year-old Hollywood actor George Clooney, sported a midlength black shift dress, which revealed her toned legs.

The brunette beauty paired her dress with a cream three-quarter length coat. The slender British lawyer looked even taller wearing leopard print heels.

Amal styled her hair in soft waves and wore a light and radiant make-up.

The mother-of-two slipped on silver chandelier earrings. A pair of cat-eye shades shielded her eyes.

George Clooney, an Oscar-winning actor, shares 10-month-old twins, Ella and Alexander, with the human rights lawyer.

Amal is gaining popularity for taking on high-profile cases. The latest one involves two Reuters journalists jailed in Burma.

She will be representing Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo, who were arrested in December 2017. The journalists are being held in a Yangon prison.

Wa Lone and Kyaw Soe Oo are charged with violation of the country's Official Secrets Act, a statute that carries a maximum prison sentence of 14 years.

Amal, who has a Lebanese heritage, married George on September 27, 2014 at Ca' Farsetti.

The lawyer gave birth to Ella and Alexander on June 6, 2017.

The power couple has recently showed off their newly-refurbished $14 million-mansion in Berkshire, England.

Renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz was given access to the nine-bedroom property for a Vogue feature, set to come out this year.

Amal, who specializes in international law and human rights, was also interviewed for the feature story.

Leibovitz also documented Amal's final fitting of her Oscar de la Renta wedding dress for her wedding in September 2014.

Neither George nor their twins will appear on the Vogue feature, according to Daily Mail.
