While Dolce & Gabbana has been taking New York by storm, Catherine Zeta-Jones was present for the festivities. With her was daughter Carys Zeta Douglas, 14, and the mother-and-daughter duo attended the Italian luxury fashion house's Alta Moda women's couture event at the New York Metropolitan Opera House at the Lincoln Center.

Both donning black outfits, the mother and daughter looked gorgeous under the bright city lights.

The older Douglas wore a semi see-through black lace dress that showed off her toned legs and firm biceps. The central part of her ensemble was the black silky corset she wore on her torso, and she accessorized the entire look with a pair of metallic heels.

The mother-of-two chose to wear her hair down, falling in curls.

Beside her was her glowing young daughter, who looked confident to be in the red carpet just like her mother.

Carys wore a black and white off-shoulder top, covered in pink, white, and red flowers.

She added a pair of simple black pants to the outfit, and carried around a black and gold purse for her belongings.

The only daughter of Catherine chose to match with her mother, wearing similar heels. The only difference was that hers had red roses on the back of each heel.

Dolce & Gabbana have five huge events in New York City this week. It started on Friday with an exhibition of their Alta Gioielleria collection of high-end jewelry at the New York Public Library. On Saturday, their men's wear line Alta Sartoria was on full-display at the Rainbow Room at the Rockefeller Center.
