A few cast members have been revealed for the all-athlete season of the hit dance competition.
Dancing With the Stars season 26 is set to premiere on television very soon. Prior to its airing, a number of talents have already been shared with the public.
This upcoming season will feature solely talented athletes. Entertainment Daily suggested that the show most likely scanned through the previous Olympians who truly made their marks in their respective sports.
Entertainment Tonight shared that Jennie Finch, an all-star softball athlete, is the latest speculated contender for the show, which airs on ABC.
A source told the media outlet that the production has been wanting to have her on the show for a number of years now.
The same informant went on to say now that the timing is perfect, everybody is hyped and on the edge of their seats to finally see her strut her stuff on Dancing With the Stars.
“She’s great on camera and very competitive. She will be the one to beat,” the source continued.
Finch, born and raised in California, took home the gold medal for Team USA in 2004 at the Summer Olympics. In 2008, she bagged the silver medal in the same competition.
37-year-old Finch is supposedly contending against Adam Rippon, Tonya Harding, and Jamie Anderson. The three have been previously announced to be some of the official cast members for the 26th season.
Like Finch, Rippon had long been eyed to join the cast, as suggested by Entertainment Tonight.
In an interview, Rippon said that to compete on the show would be a great opportunity.
He said, "It would be really fun. I've always wanted to learn how to dance, because I've just been a solo act, like a one-man show.”
On April 13, 2018, the full set of the season 26 cast will be announced via Good Morning America.
