Chrisley's family TV show reportedly in peril after the main talk show is canceled

There were a couple of shows and TV realities that were so good that the audience keeps asking for a reboot. Chrisley Knows Best is one of them.

Many people wanted to see Todd, Savannah, and Chase Chrisley on their screens again, which made USA Network consider creating other shows having them as the principal stars.

Inquisitr reported that they created According to Chrisley, a talk show where Todd was the host. Only after its first season, executives decided to cancel the show as it wasn’t as successful as expected.

If things were not bad enough for the family, USA Network had planned to create a spinoff for Chase and Savannah to follow their lives after Chrisley Knows Best but, since his father’s project was canceled, they don’t want to take the risk with their children.

One of the reasons they might have decided not to shoot the show is that neither Chase nor Savannah has the personality to carry a TV series without all the drama coming from their family – especially from their father.

The news was terrible for Todd, particularly, who took to his social media accounts in August to announce that their children were getting their own show and pointing out that they were ‘leaving the nest.’

Even if Todd’s show cancelation had nothing to do with the network’s decision, the same source revealed that Savannah is very difficult to work with and that Chase has no time to film due to his college obligations.

According to Chrisley was a half-hour show aired right after each episode of Chrisley Knows Best last fall. Even though producers had high expectations for it, the audience never felt connected to it.

The money that they would have earned from the shows would have come in quite handy as Todd claimed he was in bankruptcy in 2012. His financial situation has improved, though, but he is not as good as he would wish.
