The 5-year-old Lucas Hernandez has been missing for two months. New information suggests that the boy sustained physical injuries due to abuse.

Hernandez was reported missing from him Wichita home in Kansas by his stepmother, Emilly Glass, on February 17, 2018. His father, Jonathan Hernandez was out of state for work.

As reported by KWCH12, on February 28, 2018, the 26-year-old Glass is currently behind bars for child endangerment of her 1-year-old biological daughter.

Glass had not been charged with Lucas' disappearance and claimed that she loved him like her own. Lucas went missing from his bedroom while she was allegedly taking a nap.

According to Inquisitr, Lucas was seen with cuts, bruises, and two black eyes prior to his disappearance. Glass claimed the injuries were from Lucas' 'playing rough' with his older cousins. .

As per court documents, Lucas and his 1-year-old stepsister were raised in a 'dysfunctional and violent' household, and the children were not safe in the house.

Eyewitnesses also reported that 'numerous bruises' was seen on Lucas' body and face. When asked about it, Lucas responded that his stepmother doesn't like him anymore.

People close to Lucas became concerned when they saw a large bruise on his forehead and bruises around his eyes while Lucas and Glass were visiting his father in New Mexico.

Upon his return to school in January 2018, a school nurse noted that he 'looked like he had been in a fight,' but Glass claimed he had fallen off the monkey bars at school.

Later that year, Glass filed a report against Jonathan Hernandez, for hitting one of her sons. Her son confirmed the event.

Lucas is still missing. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt with a bear on it, white socks and black sweatpants. The 5-year-old has brown hair and brown eyes. He is 4 feet tall and weighs 60 pounds.
