Carrie Underwood shares a new photo showing her full face after terrible injury
The country crooner posted a photo of herself ahead of her Sunday performance at the American Music Awards, which shows that she is no longer nervous about showing her full face.
It was November of last year when Carrie Underwood suffered from a serious fall that left her with almost 40 to 50 stitches in her face and apparently left scars that made Underwood very self-conscious. Inquisitr has the details.
There were reports that her scars had left the mother-of-one serious anxiety about appearing in public again. Hollywood Life claimed that Carrie was having a hard time both physically and emotionally and has worked with a team of the “best dermatologists in Beverly Hills” to manage the horrible scars. She is also said to have leaned on her group of friends for emotional support.
But those may just have been simply rumors or may have gone now as Carried shared a photo from her rehearsal and there seem to be no signs of the injury. Although part of her face was concealed by a microphone, there were no signs of a lingering injury. She did not look different from before her accident.
The first time Carrie posted an image of her full face after the injury was another one of her rehearsing with her band, which was similar to the one she shared on Friday. It was also taken from a distance but so far, there had not been any visible scars that can be seen.
She just made her live performance on Sunday at the American Music Awards and gave a powerful delivery of her new single Cry Pretty. The crowd loved it and gave her a standing ovation that lasted for almost a minute.
Carrie was nominated for two awards—Female Vocalist of the Year and Vocal Event of the Year for the song The Fighter with Keith Urban, which they actually won that night.
