As reported by Entertainment Daily, Stephen Louis Burke died in March 2018. He would have celebrated his 68th birthday on April 13, 2018.

Cheryl wished him a happy 'first birthday in heaven,' and added that she thinks about him every day. Even though he passed away, he will 'forever remain alive in [her] heart.'

The Dancing With The Stars contestant also told her fans that she is reminded daily of the incredible man he was and that she is still 'learning to live without' him.

When he passed away a month ago, she also poured her heart out on Instagram and explained that she 'would do things differently' if it meant having one more day with him.

We often forget to tell our loved ones how much they mean to us, but Cheryl said she would not make that mistake again.

'Every day I would tell you how much I love you. I miss you so much already.'

Her fans rushed to the comment section to offer words of encouragement and support. Syd James could relate because he lost his mother in December 2017. She was also born in 1950, he added.

Lisa Pittaccio said she also knows the feeling because she lost her father three months ago, while Cecilia Asinas Cruz reminded Cheryl that she would have the opportunity to dance with her father again.

Another Instagram user, Kathy Wenger, sent comfort from the scriptures and quoted Revelation 21:3. She reminded Cheryl that a time is promised when death and suffering will be no more.

Cheryl has more than 20 years dancing experience and owes her career to her father as well. Her parents signed her up for dancing lessons when she was six years old.

She started with ballet classes but discovered her passion for ballroom dancing when she was ten years old. Cheryl competed professionally by the age of 13.

Fans can support her clothing line, CeeBee Activewear, which can be purchased through QVC.
