Little House in The Prairie took the nation by storm when it first aired in the early seventies. Many of its actors established award-winning careers.

It was based on Laura Ingalls Wilder's bestselling autobiographical books which followed the lives of her frontier family who lived on a small farm in Minnesota in the 1880's.

NBC became interested in the western drama series and contacted director Michael Landon to spearhead the project, which turned into the biggest TV phenomenon of the previous century.

Robin Wright

Wright is a 51-year-old actress who has been nominated for seven Primetime Emmy Awards. She won the Soap Opera Digest award for her 538 appearances as Kelly Capwell in Santa Barbara.

He modeling career started when she 14 years old, and she landed her first role in The Yellow Rose after she appeared in two episodes as Barbara Anderson.

He latest role is that of Claire Underwood in House of Cards.

Melissa Sue Anderson

The 55-year-old Anderson landed her first roles in television commercials when a dance teacher recognized her potential. Her first TV role was in 1972 in Bewitched. She was nine years old at the time.

She appeared in several TV shows, including The Love Boat, The Equalizer, and Partners. Apart from acting, Anderson is also a published author.

Fans can look forward to her upcoming film, The Brits Are Coming. The film is currently in post-production.

Melissa Peterman

Peterman, 46, is an actress and comedian who made her film debut in the 1996 film, Fargo. She rose to fame in 2001 when she was cast as a series regular in Reba.

Later in her career, she also appeared in 7 episodes of The Pyramid in 2003. She was also the host of The Singing Bee and was a series regular in Working Class in 2011.

Her latest projects include the 2016 show Valerie's Home Cooking. She was a contestant in the celebrity edition of Worst Cooks in America in 2017.

As reported by Do You Remember, Melissa Sue Anderson was cast as Mary Ingalls in 1974, when she was just eleven years old.

She left Little House on the Prairie during its seventh season and returned in 1981 for two episodes in season eight. She was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for her role.

In 2010, she published a book titled The Way I See It - A Look Back At My Life on Little House. The book shares a glimpse into her life as a child star.

She tied the knot with Michael Sloan in 1990. They live in Montreal with their two children and became Canadian citizens in 2007.
