Matt Roloff finally opens up on his reason for divorce from Amy Roloff

The hearts of many fans broke when Matt and Amy Roloff decided to part separate ways. Three years after the divorce, he shared a major reason for his decision.

Matt, who has been dating former manager of Roloff Farms, Caryn Chandler, since he and Amy broke up, confessed how the ex-couple used to feel about each other while they were still together.

In Touch Weekly reported that everything happened on a recent episode of Little People, Big World. He appeared on screen to talk about his current relationship and couldn’t avoid comparing it to the previous one.

After being married for 27 years, nobody could really blame him. Matt confessed he appreciates that Chandler wants to spend personal time with him as it ‘warms’ his heart.

He added that he and Amy had some ‘compatibility’ when they welcomed their children, but when they got older, they realized they didn’t have much in common.

‘[Amy and I] are different people. We are very different people. So, it feels good to be in a situation where you feel compatible on many levels.’

His relationship with Chandler is certainly different as she understands and shares the passion he has for his work more than Amy ever did. One of the reasons for that might be that Chandler worked for the family for many years.

She admitted that she loves the ‘drive’ Matt has in him and pointed out that it was like if work was in his DNA and that it is ‘his hobby.’

Amy and Chandler used to have a good relationship, but now things are different. Even though they don’t hate each other, their relationship changed when Amy learned about her romance with Matt.

He is not the only person who found love again. Amy has been dating Chris Marek for over a year, and their relationship is so strong that fans believe they will be getting married sooner rather than later.
