Nikki Bella will make appearance for the first time since splitting with fiance John Cena this weekend
The reality star will soon have her first public appearance since her split with wrestling superstar John Cena this weekend at a rosé tasting event with twin sister, Brie Bella.
The wine tasting will be celebrity chef Todd English at the Nirvana Food and Wine Festival in Arizona. The Bellas will be there as they have their own wine line, Belle Radici. Pop Culture has the deets.
Nikki Bella and John Cena just announced their split on Sunday, which is about a year since John proposed to her in front of millions of TV viewers on Wrestlemania 33. The pair was scheduled to marry at a destination wedding this May 5.
The 34-year-old professional wrestler was the one who reportedly pulled the plug on the six-year relationship. A source claimed that Nikki was “convinced” that the proposal had changed his mind about not wanting kids because he previously did not want to get married again either. The source from People said:
“When [Cena] proposed, he convinced [Bella] that he was a changed man. And if he can change his mind about never wanting to get married, why wouldn’t he change his mind about not wanting kids?”
“They have had an on and off relationship for years. It’s no secret that they didn’t see eye to eye on a lot of things, but, when you’re in love, you turn a blind eye. And that’s what Nikki did.”
It was the couple’s different views on children and marriage that put a dent in their relationship.
Their relationship has been documented on two reality shows, Total Divas and Total Bellas. In a sneak peek for the third season of Total Bellas, John and Nikki looked like they were rethinking about their wedding. They had a tearful conversation about Bella desiring for kids, even though John has been open about not wanting them.
Nikki’s twin, Brie Bella, wants people to know though that there are no ill feelings or bad blood and even defended John on Instagram as she wrote:
“I’ll always love @johncena like a brother. He’ll always be family. My heart is hurting for he [sic] and my sister.”
