Prince William shares an update on newborn son and hints about his name
Prince William left his wife, Duchess Kate, at home with their newborn baby born while he attended an event recently. Everyone wanted to know about the new Prince when they saw him.
The main question on everyone’s lips is what the boy’s name will be. On April 25, 20178, William joked around about possible names for his child but didn’t deny or confirm anything according to Pop Culture.
Prince William was seen on Wednesday at the Anzac Day Service of Commemoration and Thanksgiving at Westminster Abbey. E! News reported that he shared the status of his newborn baby
When asked how the little royal was doing, he said: “Very well, thanks.” He also shared that everyone was luckily doing well.
Despite sharing how his child was doing, Prince William avoided revealing what the little boy’s name would be. When Australian High Commissioner Alexander Downer asked if the name Alexander had been considered, William poked fun.
He joked that it was a good name but didn’t say whether they would choose it or not. The Dean of Westminster also proposed that Sir Jerry Mateparae, New Zealand's High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, would like the little royal’s name to be Jerry.
William agreed that the name was a strong one too. His boy was born in London’s St. Mary’s Hospital, the same hospital where siblings Prince George, 4, and Princess Charlotte, 2, were born.
"Sleeping's going reasonably well so far. So, he's behaving himself, which is good."

He was born at 11:01 a.m. local time on April 23, 2018. According to a statement released by Kensington Palace, the child weighed a8 lbs., 7 oz.
At the time, it was said that both mother and child were doing well. The statement also informed the public that the Queen, the Duke of Edinburgh, the Prince of Wales, the Duchess of Cornwall, Prince Harry and members of both families had been informed and were all delighted with the news.
A few hours after giving birth to the royal baby, Duchess Kate and Prince William took to the steps of St. Mary’s Hospital. There they made the little boy’s first public appearance.
Kate wore a Jenny Packham dress. Packham is a British designer whose dresses the Duchess wore after the births of Prince George in 2013 and Princess Charlotte in 2015.
She paid tribute to Princess Diana, who wore a similar raspberry red dress with a white Peter Pan color when she introduced Prince Harry into the world in 1984. As far as the child’s name Arthur seems to be a top contender.
Other names include James, Albert, Philip, Thomas, Alexander, and Henry. Even though his name isn’t known yet, it has been reported that he will have the title ‘His Royal Highness Prince [name] of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.’
He probably won’t use his entire title, as royal historian Marlene Koenig has explained.
