Cute kids from 'Kate Plus 8' are all grown up now, and one of them is described as 'troubled'
Kate Plus 8 has been on people’s screens since 2007, which means that the audience has been watching all 8 children grow up year after year.
The show proved to be so popular that even though most people thought it would be canceled when Kate Gosselin and her then-husband, John Gosselin, got divorced, it kept being aired by TLC.
It seems like it was just yesterday when people first met Jon, Kate, and their brood of eight on their reality series. At that point, the show was titled Jon & Kate Plus 8 but the couple’s divorce made the network change it to the name it has nowadays.
During the first season, the twins, Mady and Cara, were six years old. The sextuplets Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah were only one.
The family endured many difficulties and the divorce was especially traumatic for the children who couldn’t fully understand what was happening. It was later revealed that doing a show without the entire family was not in the network’s plans.
However, Kate insisted that it was the only way a single mother could support eight children and TLC opted for giving the show a chance. Thankfully, it is still as popular as it was in the first couple of seasons.
Now that the children are bigger, the audience can identify more aspects of their unique personalities. Joel, for example, is the most ‘easygoing’ of all children. Alexis tends to be silly, which is why the family labeled him as the comedian.
Leah, who was the smallest of the sextuplets, is super close with her sister Hannah, who she calls ‘Hannie.’ Kate pointed out that Hannah is the most mature of her sextuplets.
Aaden got the nickname of ‘the professor’ for his adorable glasses and inquisitive nature. Collin is the most troublesome as he attended a special school where he gets help for his social and behavioral issues.
Mady and Cara, the older twins, are also different from each other. The former loves to be the center of attention while the latter is a lot quieter and reserved. So far, it is not known if or when the show will come back to people’s screens.
