Star 'The Young and the Restless' couple mourns the sudden loss of their loved one

The soap opera stars and the real-life couple shared an unfortunate news to their fans.

Justin and Chrishell Hartley recently suffered a tragic loss. They had lost their beloved pet to a horrible sickness.

Soap Hub shared that Chrishell took to social media to express her sorrow in losing their beloved pet to kidney failure.

The couple’s pet was a dog named Memphis. He was adopted by the pair when he was 11 years old.

Upon first laying eyes on him, Chrishell and Justin fell in love with him in an instant.

Sharing the news with her fans, Chrishell wrote, ‘His poor kidneys gave out and we are left with the love and memories he gave us in such a short time.’

Fans of the pair also expressed their love and support by sending prayers and condolences on the couple’s loss.

Chrishell is known for being a pet advocate. For so long, she has been encouraging people who want to have pets to adopt rather than shop.

In 2016, Justin and Chrishell rescued two beautiful dogs by adopting them from the Burbank Animal Shelter, according to CBS Soaps In Depth.

The actress shared the news on Twitter by posting a photo of herself and Justin, each of them holding one dog.

On the caption, she wrote, ‘Rescuing two pups out of a cage they’ve been in for seven months is the best feeling in the world.’

One of the dogs was Memphis and the other was named Gracie.

Chrishell explained that the two dogs had medical issues at the time and had to be adopted together.

When they first saw the pups, they were neglected, matted, and dirty.

Chrishell then expressed her excitement to get the dogs home. She said that a Hollywood makeover awaits them both and that she was going to share before and after photos when they were done with the makeover.
