Remember Joey Donner from "10 Things I Hate About You"? He looks incredibly handsome now
Andrew Keegan’s career has been nothing short of a roller coaster. The still saucy Broken Hearts actor-cum-church founder was a teen bombshell back in the 90’s, into the 2000s. AmoMama lets you in on what he has been up to as reported by Stanton Daily.
Keegan is Los Angeles born and bred. He took to acting early, possibly inspired by his voice actor dad. His biggest break came when he absolutely nailed the role of Zack Dell in the 1994 comedy, Camp Nowhere. The film was neither a box office success nor a critic favorite but Keegan as teenage rebel got the fans talking.
His star kept rising with roles such as Luke in 1995’s Freaky Friday, Stephanie Tanner’s beau in Full House and Matt Tarses in Moesha. In 96, though uncredited, he appeared in Independence day alongside Will Smith. In 1997, he was Wilson West in the hit drama 7th Heaven. In 1999, he had gone full star when he appeared alongside the late Heath Ledger in 10 Things I Hate About You.
Keegan just couldn’t stop shining- with such roles as Greg Berlanti in The Broken Hearts Club. With his screen appearances becoming less frequent, Keegan set his sights on the stage. And boss the stage he did. As Rigby, an HIV positive man, in He Asked For It, Keenan cemented his credentials as a versatile actor.
Keegan tried leading a normal life in Venice, California. However, in 2011, a confrontation with gang members left him needing stitchesAfter the incident, he set up Full Circle and was serving as the spiritual leader. The media labeled Full Circle a ‘cult following’. However, Keegan dismissed that label, saying, “Full Circle is a non-denominational spiritual community center where people of all beliefs and backgrounds come together to meditate, practice yoga, and engage artistically.”In 2015, officers from California Alcohol Beverage Control raided Full Circle’s temple. Reason? Reports indicated that members were distributing Kombucha, an alcoholic drink. Keegan played the ignorance card.
In 2016, Keegan and his current girlfriend became parents to their first child, Aiya Rose.
“My beloved partner and I are overjoyed to welcome a healthy baby girl into our world,” Keegan intimated. “Our hearts are full of love, and we are thrilled to embrace our role as her parents.”
Keegan has not lost his looks. Some of his former fans will still come up to him and say, “I used to just love you!” While his Tiger Beat days may be way behind him, he has a parting shot, “Can’t we just always love each other and everybody in the world?”
