Kim Kardashian-West did not miss this year's Met Gala. In fact, she even had a specific routine to get into shape before the big event.

Daily Mail reported that she came solo to the event, opting to leave behind her controversial husband, Kanye West. The Gala was held on May 6, 2018.

Kim Kardashian-West, 37, showed off her assets at the Monday event. She gave her own interpretation to the event’s theme titled Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.

The star chose to wear a busty gown for the night. Crucifixes were sewn into the skin-tight Versace gold dress that sparkled as the star posed for pictures on the red carpet.

Her husband, Kanye West, was nowhere to be seen as he was still riding the wave of his controversial tweets about supporting President Donald Trump and slavery. Kanye’s usually her Met Gala date.

His absence didn’t stop Kim from making the most of the evening as she smiled for the cameras. To add to her look, the star had a cascading ponytail that reached her waist.

‘I've been prepping for this year's with a cleanse and by working out really hard. I'm so excited to go!'

She had smokey eyes to add some contours to her face. The star stuck to a rigid cleanse in a bid to get her body looking just right for the big event.

Gold seemed to be the main theme for the night as Kim joined fellow stars Katy Perry and Olivia Munn inside the affair.

Munn glittered in a golden dress while adding a chain-mail headdress to her custom H&M outfit. Perry turned heads in a metallic gold design courtesy of Versace Atelier.

Kim wasn't the only one in the family that attended the Met Gala.

Her mother, Kris Jenner also attended with her boyfriend Corey Gamble. Kim’s younger half-sisters Kendall and Kylie Jenner also pitched for the big night.

The star shared photos of her figure that were taken against a gilded wall inside The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Last week she took to her pay site,, to talk about how she was getting ready for the annual gala. She shared then that she was on a cleanse and working out hard to look her best in her designer gown.

The star also shared some never-seen-before images from last year's Gala.

In those images, the reality star looked slender in her white off-the-shoulder dress. She confessed that last year she had wanted to keep it simple.

Kim revealed that she had worn Vivienne Westwood and that Mario had done her makeup with Michael Silva doing her hair.
