Nicole Kidman urgently jets to hometown after alleged family emergency according to Daily Mail

The actress rushes back to Sydney with her husband Keith Urban as her mother is confined in the hospital.

News of Nicole Kidman’s mother Janelle in the hospital has prompted the actress and her husband Keith Urban to rush back to Sydney to be by her side, New Idea has revealed.

In a statement to the Daily Mail, Nicole’s longtime publicist Wendy Day confirmed her 78-year-old mother has been undergoing “routine tests” at Sydney’s Royal North Shore Hospital for a few days now. She told the publication,

“She's been in for a couple of days but she's coming home today, I believe.”

It’s no secret Nicole has been very close to her mother, and it’s not surprising she’d jump on a plane to be with her. She lauds her mother any chance she gets. In March, she gushed about her on her 78thbirthday in a special tribute she wrote on her social media.

“You've loved me, guided me and taught me and I am so blessed to have you.”

Likewise, when she accepted her Golden Globe award early this year, she also thanked her mother and credited her for who she’s become today.

“My mumma was an advocate for the women's movement when I was growing up, and because of her I'm standing here.

“My achievements are her achievements. Antonia Kidman, my sister, and I say thank you Janelle Kidman for what you fought for so hard.”

Here’s hoping Janelle recovers quickly so she may still continue to inspire her daughter to be the best she can be.
