Jennifer Lopez shows off her new stylish haircut in a sparkling dress at a recent red carpet

The Met Gala is one of the most coveted events in the fashion calendar, and so most celebrities go the extra mile to make a statement. J-Lo decided to cut her hair into a chic bob to show off her dress as Hollywood Life reports.

Jennifer Lopez has been making daring statements with her hair lately. At the Billboard Latin Music Awards in April, she walked the red carpet with knee-length locks that she swapped for even longer hair during her energetic performance. The singer, 48, is not done experimenting. She cut her long mane to a shoulder-length bob for Monday’s Met Gala.

This year’s Met Gala theme was Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination, and J-Lo wanted her dress to be the center of attention. To achieve this, she and her hairstylist Lorenzo Martin decided to cut the hair short. Daring move, right? Well, the Balmain dress was really something and it was perfectly in line with the theme.

Martin was generous enough to give a tutorial of J-Lo’s look for those who want to replicate it.
