The Fixer Upper stars announced their pregnancy in March. Joanna revealed that it had come by surprise as she had been feeling a little emotional and crazy.

Noticing her strange behavior, the star suddenly recalled where she knew her symptoms from. “When I saw the results of the test, my jaw dropped. Chip was in the driveway about to leave when I called him back and said, ‘We’re pregnant!’ He was so excited.”

‘This baby can already keep a beat…He loves music.’

The new baby will be quite younger than his other siblings. The Gaines' children are Emmie Kay, 8; Duke, 9; Ella Rose, 11; and Drake, 13.

The couple hasn’t yet announced a name for their child. However, they have suggested that they'll continue their pattern of giving him a first name that begins with a ‘D.’

A video that was taken at a golf event for the Tim Tebow Foundation showed Chip asking a little boy named Gage if he could come up with a name starting with the letter ‘D.’ The couple recently revealed that they had shared the good news with their children.

Joanna stated that they had onesies written ‘big brother’ and ‘big sister’ and had their children turn around and look at them. It took the siblings a second to figure out what the onesies meant according to Country Living.

When they got it, the children were excited. At the time when their children were younger, the parent’s would wait to tell them.

They typically waited for a couple of weeks before saying anything unlike with this one where they told them on the same day they found it.

The parents shared that they were most excited about telling their children because now that they’re older, they understand what it means. Years ago when Joanna had Emmie, they were 4 and under, and didn’t get it.

Now that they’re older, every day they ask how many more days until the baby comes.
