Jessica Simpson shares a photo with her mother who looks like her identical twins

The singer shares a special tribute for her mother in a Mother's Day post revealing their special bond.

Jessica Simpson recognizes the great role her mother played in molding her to become who she is today and she marked Mother’s Day this year by affirming just that.

Posting a sweet photo with her mom, Tina Ann Simpson, the grateful daughter showered her with praises in her caption.

"Everything I am is because of your faith and love. Thank you for being the world's greatest Mom. I love you.”

Fans of the singer were quick to notice how young Tina looked as well as the uncanny resemblance she has with her daughter. One fan even exclaimed,

“Twins!”

And the fan certainly wasn’t kidding as the the mother and daughter looked more like twin sisters in the photo where they were head to head. Jessica was wearing a black and white polka dot top and complemented it with red lips and a made-up face. Her 58-year-old mother projected a more natural look, with barely any make-up and just a big smile that allowed her face to glow.

Jessica recently accepted an award at the 40th Annual Outstanding Mother Awards and it was definitely a nod at the great job her mother did in raising her.

Speaking to Us Weekly at the event, the 37-year-old mother talked about her own journey raising her two children, daughter Maxwell, 6 and son Ace, 4.

“Being a mother is the best opportunity and challenge I’ve ever been blessed with in life.”

The singer also admitted she’s learning as much from her kids as they are from her.

“Right now my kids are in this amazing stage where I’m really listening to them without judgment and they’re teaching me so much. These little innocent kids teach me so much about life.”

Jessica shares the responsibility of raising her children with her husband, Eric Johnson whom she married in 2014. Comparing their parenting styles, she revealed Eric is the disciplinarian and explained,

“If my daughter asks for a dog, she gets one, and then Eric finds a way to make the dog not end up in the house.”

As early as now, the beautiful singer already sees her musical genes in her daughter who she noticed “has a great voice.” And the star told the publication she would support Maxwell if she decides to pursue the same path she did. However, she also noticed her 6-year-old has a tendency to be shy, though she admitted her own shyness didn’t keep her from following her dreams of becoming a singer. She concluded,

“She’s pretty shy. Mom’s shy too, so you never know. You never know if you’re a born entertainer or not.”

On Mother's Day, the celebrity mom's children surprised her with a sweet expression of their love for her by spelling out the words "We love you mom" using donuts. The sweet gesture didn't go unnoticed as Jessica posted a photo of the labor of love and wrote,

"My kiddos know the way to mommy's heart."

There's clearly a lot of love going around Jessica's family and it's being passed on from one generation to the next.
