Madonna shares a photo of her three adopted daughters who look so grown up
Madonna posted a photo of the three daughters she adopted from Malawi who all look so grown up already in celebration for Mother’s Day.
In the Instagram photo, the iconic singer is looking at her daughters—12-year-old Mercy James and 5-year-old twins, Estere and Stelle. While Mercy has a huge smile for the camera, the twins looked surprised.
Madonna captioned the photo with: “Wonder and Amazement!! (heart emojis) #happymothersday”
Her fans showed their love for the Queen of Pop with their comments. One follower said that she is “the luckiest mum with the beautiful girls” and another one told her that she is a “fantastic woman!” A fan also encouraged her and told her how much she meant to the fans. She wrote:
“You and your family are the absolute light of the world. A great representation of love and diversity. People need to know and see this great love. Your true fans love you and appreciate what you are trying to show the world.”
Madonna has six kids, four of which are adopted from Malawi. She has two biological children—21-year-old Lourdes Leon from her ex-partner Carlos Leon, and 17-year-old Rocco Ritchie from her ex-husband Guy Ritchie.
Aside from the girls, she and Guy first adopted son 12-year-old David Banda Mwale.
All of her three adoptions have not been easy and has led to some controversy but according to CBC, she was granted the adoption by the high court and is grateful that she finally got to make the children from Malawi part of her family. After she adopted the twins, she thanked everyone who helped her.
