People reported that the Royal bride’s signature look became a talking point after her wedding on May 19, 2018, at St. George’s Chapel.

Meghan Markle loves sporting a messy bun – even on the big day. She had the same look when she walked down the aisle and her hairstylist has now revealed that it was supposed to be that way.

Serge Normant said that it was “messy in a controlled way.” He had to make sure it does not become a mess after a few hours.

Normant, a New York-based hairstylist, revealed that the look was achieved within 45 minutes to an hour on the wedding day

Commenting on Meghan, he said, “Her style is so easy and not contrived. I wasn’t about reinvention. She has a beautiful head of hair and is gorgeous, so it was just easy.”

Normant, who was born and raised in Paris, met the new Duchess through her friend Amal Clooney last year.

He revealed that they zeroed in on an “undone” look because he wanted her to feel like herself in front of millions of viewers.

The hairdresser said he used regular pins, one that can be bought from a shop for a few pounds. In his opinion, anyone could recreate it at home and maybe make it even better.

Besides, Normant used a little mousse and a texturizing product to make her hair look a bit shinier. As for the process, he dried it with a round brush, used a little iron on the edges to give it texture.

Many also noticed a few strands of hair that fell around Meghan’s face during the service. He said that they were deliberately left as he wanted her to be able to tuck it behind her ears as she normally does.

He took inspiration from one of Hollywood’s iconic actress, Audrey Hepburn, to make the bridge look picture perfect for the big day.

He added that Meghan was totally calm and composed as she got ready with her mother, Doria Ragland, on the day of her wedding.

The hair stylist had just one trial before the wedding, but on the day, they were up early and went about getting things done.

He termed the entire process “the easiest” in the world, while the morning was “beautiful” and just the perfect one to get married.

Normant revealed that the Duchess of Sussex loved the final look and was thrilled and happy with the result.
