What Meghan Markle's father said about his daughter's Royal wedding
Duchess Meghan’s father couldn’t attend her wedding to Prince Harry over the weekend because of undergoing heart surgery. However, Thomas Markle got to see it play out on television.
He opened up to TMZ and let them know how he felt about the whole thing. Markle admitted that watching the event unfold was emotional for him.
Thomas Markle had to excuse himself from his daughter’s wedding last Saturday because he had checked himself into the hospital. Two weeks ago he’d suffered a heart attack and left the hospital because he’d intended to attend Meghan’s wedding.
However, last week Tuesday he got admitted because of chest pains that he was experiencing. He had to stay in the hospital for his operation which was a success.
This meant he couldn’t go to London at all. He watched the wedding from his TV in California where he was recovering.
Markle shared that when he watched the ceremony he felt "emotional and joyful." He also added that he wished he could’ve gone to the event.
"My baby looks beautiful and she looks very happy. I wish I were there and I wish them all my love and all happiness."

Meghan's mother, Doria Ragland, was able to be by their daughter’s side. She drove to Windsor Castle with her daughter.
Ragland was a big hit during the event with many people noticing her nose ring and commending her for staying true to herself no matter what. She was also seen crying as her daughter took her vows.
Meghan kept her look elegant but simple in a white Givenchy wedding gown. The dress was designed by Clare Waight Keller, the first female artistic director of the French company.
Some of the people who were invited to the Royal wedding were Meghan’s best friends Serena Williams, Priyanka Chopra, and Jessica Mulroney. Her former Suits co-stars also made it to the event.
Celebrities like Oprah Winfrey, George and Amal Clooney as well as David and Victoria Beckham were all in attendance.
