Jenna Johnson on boyfriend Val after 'DWTS' win: 'He brought my dog'
The 24-year-old professional ballroom dancer and television personality, Jenna Johnson, has been dating fellow dancer Val Chmerkovskiy for a year.
Johnson and her dance partner, figure skater Adam Rippon, walked away with the season 26 Dancing With The Stars mirror-ball trophy on Monday.
ET Online tracked Johnson and Rippon down after the show for an exclusive interview; Johnson gushed about boyfriend Chmerkovskiy waiting for her backstage.
Not only was he there in the flesh to support her on her big night, but he also brought her dog, Anastasia! "My cheeks hurt 'cause I'm so happy," she said.
She joked that he supported her by kissing her a lot. Fans of Johnson are looking forward to an upcoming engagement after she called Chmerkovskiy out on TV by saying "time is ticking."
The following day, Chmerkovskiy tweeted that he 'should def put a ring on it.' Following her win on DWTS, he also took to Instagram to congratulate Johnson.
He told his Instagram followers that he was 'so proud' of Johnson. 'Be kind, work hard, be patient, and life will figure out a way to smile in your direction,' he added.
When asked if she'd remain friends with Rippon, Johnson said the trophy binds them together for life. Rippon concurred, stating he found a true friend in Johnson.
"Let the record show Adam Rippon and Jenna Johnsons' names are engraved, or printed [on the trophy.] Getting to meet someone I'm going to be friends with for the rest of my life is such an incredible experience."

The dancing pair received a full score for their jazz performance, and the crowd awarded them with a standing ovation during the first round. While their freestyle dance was 'corky and fun,' the performance received mixed reviews, according to People.
