NBC viewers were shocked by the cancellation of some of their favorite shows.

NBC announced the new lineup and there have been some changes, some cancellations, and some renewals reported

NBC renewed some of their classic series: the three Dick Wolf-produced Chicago shows, Law & Order: SVU and This Is Us. The reality hit talent show The Voice is predictably coming back.

One of the cancellations is The Night Shift, a medical drama centered on ER doctors working the night shift at a San Antonio hospital.   The show ran for 4  fourth seasons and starred Scott Wolf, Jill Flint, and Eion Macken.

Another cancellation was Law & Order: True Crime. The show dramatized the mediatic Menendez murders but did not prove to be popular with audiences.

The Tina Fey-executive produced series Great News was canceled after a second season due to poor ratings. The Jennifer Lopez series, Shades of Blue will also be ending after its upcoming fourth season.

Based on the Liam Neeson hit movie Taken, the TV series did not prove to be as successful, The entire cast was changed, but the series had poor ratings and did not make the cut.

The police procedure Shades of Blue starring Jennifer Lopez will not be renewed after its fourth season.

While the Taken film starring Liam Neeson was a huge hit at the box office, the TV version was the complete opposite.

The Blacklist has been renewed, but other shows still face an uncertain future as the network executives analyze audience reactions and ratings.

Champions, Genius Junior and Timeless are three of the show still in limbo, awaiting the NBC Networks final decisions.
