Regina King shared throwback pics of mom and son, showing their striking resemblance

Regina King is one of the most sought-after actresses in the entertainment industry right now, and she’s also a talented director, with over ten directing credits in her resume as of now. King recently melted hearts as she shared throwback photos from her mom and her son, and they have the same bright smile.

Celebritist learned from Regina King’s Instagram account that she’s a proud daughter and mother as she showed off the resemblance between Gloria, her beautiful mom, and Ian Alexander Jr., her handsome son.

Regina took the opportunity to send Mrs. Gloria a heartfelt message for Mother’s Day on Instagram despite her initial reticence, considering her mom is not even on social media. But in the end, she decided to show her appreciation even though her mom would not be able to see the post.

The “American Crime” actress posted a photo of mom when she was younger followed by one of her son in his football uniform, and as she mentioned in her caption, they share the exact same wide smile.

Regina wrote:

“My mama isn't on social media so I wasn't gonna post but after hearing @therealandre3000benjamin 's ME AND MY... I had to post my favorite pics to look at when I'm home. Probably because my Son's smile is so beautiful cause he got it from his Grandma. Happy Mother's Day to all you incredible Mamas out there.”

Ian Alexander Jr. is a handsome 22-years-old and he’s Regina number one fan, as he constantly appears on red carpets and events with his mother, showing off their cute relationship.

The young man is interested in music. He’s a DJ and L.A based producer and goes under the nickname Buttercreem for his artistic endeavors.

At his age, he already started his own company, "MOJAVE," a project ran by visual, sound and plastic artists that have come together to create an experimental intake on the arts that mixes music, photography, video, and even sports in an innovative way.

The talent for the arts sure runs in the family, and we’re glad to know that Regina has such a strong bond with her mom and her son. They make a beautiful family.
