Everything you should know about upcoming Royal wedding

It's another big year for the royal family, as one prince has just gotten hitched and a princess is also planning her big day.

In January, while everyone was still celebrating the engagement of Prince Harry and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, news broke that there would be another royal wedding in 2018 between Princess Eugenie and her long-time boyfriend Jack Brooksbank.

The Duke of York's official Twitter account announced that his younger daughter would be marrying Brooksbank at St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle on October 12.

This is, of course, the same location in which Harry and Meghan tied the knot on May 19.

Naturally, the royal family has not released much information about the big day, and it is unlikely that much will be known until the ceremony actually takes place.

According to Express UK, one of the many things that is widely speculated is that Princess Eugenie's older sister, Princess Beatrice, will be the maid of honor at the event.

Royal tradition dictates that there is usually only a maid of honor and a best man, with no more bridesmaids or groomsmen. The rest of the bridal party is made up of pageboys and flower girls.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, chose her younger sister Pippa Middleton as her maid of honor. Meghan opted not to have a maid of honor as she has a very close-knit group of friends and didn't want to choose between them.

OK Magazine also reported that Eugenie is expected to break tradition with regards to her wedding dress.

Royal dresscode requires brides to have covered arms, but Eugenie is well known for breaking the royal requirements when it comes to her wardrobe.

Clare Szabo from River Elliot Bridal told Inquisitr that she believes Eugenie will pick a bolder style than other recent brides such as Meghan and Catherine.

“Renowned for breaking royal dress codes, Princess Eugenie is often seen wearing bolder prints and styles to important occasions, so I think we can definitely expect something a little different for her wedding dress,” Szabo said.

One designer that could be at the top of Eugenie's list for a dress is Erdem, one that takes up plenty of space in her cupboard already.

“The label’s strikingly bold feminine style very much suits Eugenie and what we are used to seeing her wear. She most often looks fabulous in a full skirt with cinched waist, so I expect a definite contrast to Meghan’s slim, tailored look,” Szabo reasoned.
