Whoopi Goldberg stands out in the crowd with bright pink outfit at CFDA Awards 2018

Whoopi Goldberg stole the show at the CFDA Fashion Award in an eye-catching outfit

This CFDA Fashion Awards Gala was held at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City on June 4th, 2018, and fashionable celebrities like Kim Kardashian West, Naomi Campbell, and Cate Blanchett stepped out to celebrate American design and fashion.

The glamorous stars took second place when Whoopi Golberg, 62, strutted her stuff in a striking top-to-toe fuchsia outfit and a dramatic matching hat.

The wide-legged pants were matched by a shirt with a plunging neckline which revealed Goldberg's tattoos. The shirt had long full sleeves with wide cuffs.

Goldberg's waist was cinched by a wide belt in the same color and material as the rest of the outfit.

The long pants allowed a glimpse of zany black sneakers that added a note of irreverence to the eye-catching outfit. The comfort and stability of the sneakers were a definite plus on the red carpet, where so many stars tottered on dangerously high heels

Campbell took home the Fashion Icon Award, Kardashian West won the inaugural Fashion Influencer honor, and iconic designer Carolina Herrera received the Founder’s Award.
