Tracee Ellis Ross, the actress best known for the comedy series Girlfriend and Black-ish, took to her Instagram account to share the outfit she wore for the CFDA Awards.

In her post, it was clear that Ross was trying to bring back the tiered gown trend as her dress had that style. It consisted of a multi-layered number that was mostly pink. Only the upper part, the one covering her breasts, was in a deep black color.

The rest of the layers had slightly different shades of pink, which gave the outfit a very chic and stylish look. Ross finally put on black and very high heels that perfectly combined with her dress.

Next to Ross, there was Wes Gordon, the Creative Director of Carolina Herrera. He put on a black-and-white suit with a matching bowtie.

For the caption, Ross set clear that they were going to the CFDA Awards and that her dress was designed by Gordon but that it belonged to Herrera’s fashion brand.

As soon as she uploaded that photo to her Instagram account, her fans and followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. One of them was Jessbess Traynor, who pointed out that Ross looked like a beautiful pink petal in blossom.

Apart from her, Instagram user @trinivegan also chimed in, saying that Ross and Gordon looked just like if they were going to a prom party. She added that they looked 'young and cute.'

According to JustJared, Ross’ high heels were designed by Christian Louboutin, her black clutch was from M2M, and her jewelry was from Tiffany & Co.

This year, the CFDA event was held at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City on June 4. Important celebrities, actresses, and models, such as Gigi Hadid, Cate Blanchett, Whoopi Goldberg, and Kim Kardashian West were present.
