Jussie Smollett hugs his co-star in red pantsuit after revealing their 'chemistry'

Empire’s Jamal Lyon and Cookie Lyon have a beautiful relationship as son and mother on set, but they are also quite close off it. They showed their close bond on a recent session that Jamal – real name Jussie – shared on hos Instagram page.

Tight as thieves, is the only way to describe Jamal and Cookie Lyon. On the set of Fox’s series Empire, they have this beautiful relationship and look out for each other at all times, and it’s no different in the real world where they go by – their formal names – Jussie Smollet and Taraji P. Henson.

Smollet, who shared a video of him and Henson on Instagram, talked about their close relationship that has been nurtured over time as they worked alongside each other. Of course, the actor was bothering Henson who was busy typing on her iPad, but that didn’t stop him from making a whole “emotional” video. He finishes by blowing air on Henson’s hair to annoy her even more. Oh, the caption: “Count on meeee through thick and thin... a friendship thaaaaat will never end...Me and @tarajiphenson = bff’s forever.”

The co-stars have had a glorious relationship that they have showcased in several photos captured for the Gram. Henson was especially proud when Smollett bagged a Columbia Record deal and he posted about it like any proud momma would.

They may have their ups and downs as mother and son on the show, but that remains within the confines of the filming house.

They are lovely.
