'Family Matters's Harriette Winslow shared photos of her daughter, granddaughter & husband
It’s been 20 years since “Family Matters” went off the air after 12 years on screen, and the actress who gave life to the matriarch of the Winslow family is still looking as gorgeous as ever. Jo Marie Payton has been keeping a low profile in the past years, as she enjoys her time in the company of her beautiful family.
Jo Marie Payton recently celebrated her 67th birthday, but we have to say that time has done wonders for her. The actress, who has been married four times and divorced three, is enjoying the love of her family while still hosting some events and making guest appearances on TV shows sporadically.
After the end of the show that definitely put her into the spotlight in 1997, she went to appear on series like “Moesha,” “Will & Grace,” “Judging Amy,” “Tyler Perry's Meet the Browns,” and lent her voice to Suga Mama Proud on Disney’s animated series “The Proud Family.”
Jo Marie’s only daughter, Chantale France, is now a mom as well, and Payton is totally in love with her adorable granddaughter, who seems to be interested in the arts.
The little girl, Kamryn, recently had a school performance, and the proud grandmother shared some photos of the presentation showing off how talented the girl is as she wrote in her caption:
“She never ceases to amaze me. She is my little Josephine Baker. Triple Threat, sing, dance, and act. I MC'd program so couldn't see her to well but, mom took some photos.”
Luckily for her, Payton gets to share her daughter and granddaughter’s greatness with a loving partner. She has been married to Leonard Downs since 2007, and they make a beautiful couple in a photo she shared on her Facebook account while sweetly complimenting her man as she wrote:
“Man can wear a suit. When you can get him out of scrubs.”
Jo Marie’s legacy will for sure be kept alive by her family in the future, but meanwhile, we’re glad to see her still putting her talent and bright smile to work as she makes special appearances and takes hosting gigs at special events.
We’re glad to know mama Winslow is still doing what she loves the most.
