The 64-year-old media mogul was one of the first guests to arrive at St. George’s Chapel for the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on May 20, and she looked stunning in her Stella McCarthy dress.

Winfrey was seen coming out of the first bus of wedding guests that brought them to the Windsor Palace. She arrived in the company of British actor Idris Elba and his girlfriend. Both stars waved at the crowd outside.

The legendary TV host and actress looked astonishing in her pale pink dress with a cream-colored plumed hat adorned with plenty of feathers. She paired the outfit with a pair of pointed satin heels matching the color of her glamorous gown.

As for accessories, Winfrey carried a cream-colored clutch purse by Gabriela Hearst and oversized pink sunglasses.

Looking at her fabulous ensemble that showed her class and made heads turn, it is hard to imagine that her dress was, in fact, a last-minute solution for what could have ended up in an etiquette disaster, as reported by Daily Mail.

Winfrey’s close friend and CBS This Morning co-anchor Gayle King revealed during her coverage of the Royal Wedding that the American icon had a ‘wedding emergency’ the day before the ceremony.

After the wedding was over, Winfrey took to her Instagram to explain that her emergency was about her wardrobe, as she realized almost too late that her original choice of dress would photograph too white.

This was a concern for Winfrey, who considered it against etiquette to wear a seemingly white dress for a wedding, as that color was reserved for the bride. But as we learned from her post, the Stella McCarthy team came to her rescue.

"‘I want to thank the Stella McCarthy team for working all night long to get this dress finished because we had "dressgate",’ Winfrey said in the video.

‘Wrong color! Now we have the right color. I think we are going to do OK,’ she added joyfully. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa
