19-month-old Emeline Grier Miller, known as Emmy, has passed away last Sunday, June 10, after falling into the pool at their neighbor's backyard party in Orange County, California.

Bode, who is known as a former World Cup gold medalist for alpine ski racing, and his wife Morgan, a former pro volleyball player, shared their grief with their fans and followers through montages posted on Instagram.

The couple were with their children when they attended their neighbor's party. Their 19-month baby girl ended up in the pool. While she was later rescued from the water, paramedics were unable to revive her and she later died in the hospital.

"We are beyond devastated. Our baby girl, Emmy, passed away yesterday. Never in a million years did we think we would experience a pain like this. Her love, her light, her spirit will never be forgotten. Our little girl loved life and lived it to it’s fullest everyday. Our family respectfully requests privacy during this painful time."

Emeline was the youngest of four children, and Bode's second child with Morgan. The couple are expecting another child due on October.

Striken with much sadness, the family has requested for privacy during this hard time. The coroner's court has yet to release a statement regarding the official cause of death.

Emeline, named after Bode's grandmother, was welcomed to the world by the couple in November 2016. She has an older brother named Nash Skan Miller, who was born in May 2015. The Alpine skiing champion also shares a daughter with ex-girlfriend Chanel Johnson named Neesyn Dacey, and a son named Sam with another former flame named Sara McKenna.

Miller and his wife Morgan met in 2012, just months after he began dating Sara. They were soon married in October 2012, and welcomed their first child later on in 2015. However, in 2013, Morgan suffered a miscarriage just a month before Bode's son with Sara was born.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the Miller family during this very trying time.
