Serena Williams' husband warms hearts with pic of his wife and daughter from the Paris zoo

Serena Williams is taking an active break from tennis after the just ended French Open. She, her husband Ohanian, and their daughter went to the zoo and other places to appreciate the various scenes of France as reported by Celebritist.

Last year, Serena Williams made headlines when she announced her pregnancy. At the time tennis ace was on her Australian tour and was on her way to winning her 23rd grand slam title. She made headlines a few weeks later for winning the coveted title yet again, but she certainly had to take a break and answer the call of motherhood.

That she did. After giving birth to a beautiful baby, Alexis Olympia Ohanian, the superstar made her comeback this year. It wasn’t the easiest especially seeing as she was unseeded and could have been drawn against any of the 127 seeded players – who are also really good at the game.

French Open 2018 and all eyes were on Williams. Her supportive husband, Ohanian, was watching from the stadium as were several other millions waiting to see how the formidable player would fair.

Upon her return, she played and won against Marion Bartoli, but lost to Zhang Shuai during a fitness test at Madison Square Garden in New York. She expressed her frustration at the time.

“There have been so many days, even still, when I’m like, ‘How am I going to keep going?’ It’s been really, really difficult. But I keep going and I know that I might not be at my best yet. But I’m getting there and every day is a new day and every day I should be getting better. As long as I’m moving forward, even if it’s at a turtle’s pace, then I’m definitely OK with that.”

Serena’s comeback couldn’t have been at a better time, as she noted. “The day I play my very first match, marks International Women’s Day. My comeback could not have come on a better day and I decided I wanted to do something different.”

Well, her comeback was applauded by many – both critics and fans – and the champion seems to be on track to regain her pre-baby form. Of course, she backed out of her much-awaited meeting with Maria Sharapova, thanks to an injury but there will be next time.

Meanwhile, Serena is back to her new normal – playing momma to her 6-month-old.
