Shannen Doherty spotted with husband during romantic dinner date after cancer battle

Shannen Doherty, the famous actress from Charmed and 90210, made her first public appearance since her breast reconstruction surgery last month.

Doherty, whose cancer went into remission in April 2017, stepped out of the house with her husband, Kurt Iswarienko, as they headed out for a romantic dinner in Malibu.

The 47-year-old appeared to be healthier and in good spirits, walking hand-in-hand with the film producer while wearing a very casual outfit, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Ever since she was diagnosed with breast cancer, Doherty has been keeping her fans up to date with regular posts on Instagram, but she chose to keep the romantic meal with her husband to herself.

Doherty's brunette hair, which she shaved entirely at one point, could be seen flowing down her shoulders as she hid her eyes behind a pair of black aviator sunglasses.

The actress was submitted to a reconstructive surgery to rebuild one her breasts following the mastectomy she had, which was part of her cancer treatment.

At the time, on May 14, 2018, Doherty shared a photo of herself lying on a hospital bed with her mother, Rosa Doherty, standing by her side and caressing her head.

Despite the seriousness of the situation, the 47-year-old actress had a positive attitude throughout the whole process, sharing her ups and downs with her fans and followers without any fear or shame of being judged.

According to Doherty, cancer changed her by taking her anxiety and awareness to the next level and she hoped to encourage cancer patients to stay positive by sharing her experience.

Just days before her reconstructive surgery, Doherty was ordered to bank some blood for the upcoming procedure, and there she showed her appreciation for people who take time out of their busy lives to donate blood.
