Donald Trump Jr.'s ex-wife stands up for his new girlfriend, Kimberly Guilfoyle
Vanessa Trump confirmed the rumors about her estranged husband being in a relationship with Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle in a June 14 tweet, stating that she respected Donald Jr.’s decisions.
The 40-year-old socialite addressed the subject in reply to what she considered an attack from the New York Daily News, after one of its columnists, Linda Stasi, suggested that Guilfoyle should be fired from the TV network, as People reported.
‘The lengths people will go to attack a woman simply because she’s dating Don,’ Vanessa began her tweet, which commented a previous post by Donald Jr. denouncing what he condemned as a racist attack against his reputed girlfriend.
‘We’ve been separated for over 9 months and respect each other’s decisions & privacy. We’ll focus on raising our great kids. Would be nice if the press did the same rather than obsess over our private lives!’ she added.
The article written by Stasi calls to Fox News to remove Guilfoyle from her job for considering unable to objectively report on President Donald Trump and his scandals given her links with the family.
But Donald Jr. cites racial motives behind this because Guilfoyle is Puerto Rican.
Nevertheless, the article never makes any mention of her ethnicity, and Stasi clarifies that beyond her choice of men, Guilfoiyle is ‘an otherwise brilliant woman.’
‘How did this get past her editors at the @NYDailyNews? Or do they condone this kind of talk?’ I guess hypocrisy, sexism & racist rhetoric are alive & well there,’ Trump Jr. wrote on Twitter about the column.
Donald Trump Jr. and Vanessa Trump filed for divorce back in March. They have been reportedly stayed in friendly terms, focusing in sharing the parenting of their children Kai Madison, 10, Donald III, 9, Tristan, 6, Spencer, 5, and Chloe, 3.
In April, Trump Jr. and Guilfoyle were spotted on several occasions outside the news host’s apartment in New York City. Read more on our Twitter account @amomama_usa
