Kenya is making waves in the modeling industry, thanks to the prolific genes of her parents. In her latest campaign for ‘Nasty Gal,’ she models the brand’s ‘After Party’ collection, a limited edition line of reimagined and reworked hard-to-find vintage looks. The 28-piece collection was launched this week with a mix of camo items, crop tops and denim ranging from $20 to $100 and Kenya is thrilled to be a part of it. She told People,

“So hard to choose one thing, this whole collection is so good,” “I’m obsessed with the cropped black denim jacket — it’s the perfect fit and you can basically wear it with anything. I also love the camo pants with the baby doll linen white top and white boot for summer.”

Kenya has been modeling on and off since she was a teenager when she was discovered by photographer Bruce Weber while visiting her mother on the set. She revealed in her interview with People that her very first shoot was with Vogue Spain. This opened her eyes to the idea of modeling for a living. But due to college life, she took on part-time modeling jobs that wouldn’t interfere with her studies, knowing she would later pursue modeling full-time when done with college.

“I always had an interest in fashion and the creative process behind it. There’s so much that goes into that moment captured in a photograph — the whole crew contributing their talent, passion, and energy to create this one magical moment is so cool. So maybe somewhere all along I knew it was something I was going to get into.”

Apart from Vogue, Kenya has modeled for Calvin Klein campaigns and Stella McCartney’s Pop fragrance. She also debuted in the catwalk at Chanel’s Metiers D’Art fashion show in October.

But that’s not all Quincy can be proud about his daughter. Along with her modeling career, Kenya is an animal enthusiast like her mother. She grew up with a lot of compassion for animals that at eight, she became a vegetarian. Today, she devotes time working with ‘Last Chance for Animals’, a non-profit organization that advocates for animal rights.
