Sharon Osbourne reveals biggest regret regarding her beloved daughter Aimee
Sharon Osbourne opens up about her relationship with her teenage daughter
Sharon Osbourne first became known to the public when she participated in the reality show, The Osbornes, which focused on her husband Ozzie Osborne, the lead vocalist of the 70s heavy metal band Black Sabbath.
On a recent episode of The Talk, Osbourne revealed that allowing the reality show to be filmed in her house was something she regretted.
The series premiered on MTV in 2002, and at the time the show went on the air, her oldest daughter Aimee had been 16 years old. The teen had been profoundly uncomfortable with the constant intrusion of the cameras into the family's life.
Aimee asked her parents if she could move out of the house, and Osbourne allowed it. Aimee had been happy about the move, but for Osborne it was heart-rending.
Osbourne opened up with Jada Pinkett Smith after the actress shared her pain over her son Jaden Smith's decision to move out when he was just 15.
Jada, 46, confessed that her son's leaving had been one of the most painful moments of her life.
The Red Table gathered Pinkett Smith, her mother Adrienne Banfield-Jones, her son Jaden Smith, and her daughter Willow Smith.
The show offers an open forum where the differences in lifestyles and attitudes between three generations can be openly discussed.
Pinkett Smith admitted that though it was difficult for her, she believes her son made the right decision in making a life for himself.
Jaden confirmed her perspective by saying that moving out had given him a new perspective, taught him responsibility and appreciation for his parents and all they had done for him.
Like Aimee, Jaden had wanted to step away from the cameras, the constant scrutiny of the media that came from being the son of two mega-stars, Jada Pinkett Smith, and Will Smith.
Pinkett Smith and Osborne both made the decision to free their teens, to give them space to build their own lives and personalities away from the limelight.
