Former 'DWTS' contestant's emotional proposal to girlfriend on 'Jersey Shore Family Vacation'

After being together for over 15 years, Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino put together a larger-than-life surprise to pop the big question to his girlfriend Lauren Pesce.

The long-term romance of Mike ‘The Situation’ Sorrentino and his partner Lauren Pesce took a massive turn on the recent episode of Jersey Shore Family Vacation.

Sorrentino had been planning the perfect marriage proposal for Pesce for a long time, and when he finally decided to pop the question, he prepped up for the grand gesture, paying attention to every last detail.

The episode captured an excited Sorrentino putting together a spectacular display screen and running errands throughout the day.

Sorrentino’s co-stars had a significant role to play in executing his plans.

Their tasks included assisting with the selection of a special themed outfit for the occasion, to picking up a huge amount of flowers and keeping the unsuspecting Pesce busy while the arrangements were in progress.

One concern that was nagging the former DWTS star was regarding his roommates Deena Cortese, Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi and Jenni ‘JWoww’ Farley. Sorrentino was uncertain of whether the girls could keep the big secret from Pesce.

However, he was relieved to find that all three of them maintained secrecy, and the event unfolded exactly as planned by him.

When all the arrangements were in place, Sorrentino took Pesce out to a delicious meal. What Pesce did not know was that meanwhile, Sorrentino’s friends were at their home, working diligently on giving it a romantic makeover.

By the end of their revamp session, the house looked perfectly set up for the romantic occasion.

When Pesce returned home with Sorrentino, she was stunned to watch a huge screen playing an emotional video about their relationship.

Before popping the question, Sorrentino stated that Pesce’s presence in his life was similar to that of a light at the end of a tunnel.

Expressing what she meant to him, Sorrentino shared that she was his closest friend, soulmate and his better half. Following this poetic expression, he asked Pesco whether she would become Mrs. Situation.

Pesce, who had been with Sorrentino for over 15 years, could not hold back her tears of joy, and accepted the proposal, while the rest of the cast stood around teary-eyed.

The couple had announced their engagement in April and had also revealed that wedding plans were underway.

Pesce also shared that she and Sorrentino were already planning to have a baby in a year’s time.
