Rebbie Jackson's grown-up son shares photo of his late dad, showing their resemblance
Singer Austin Brown, who is Rebbie Jackson’s son, took to Instagram to share a photo of his late father, Nathaniel Brown, who passed away in January 2013.
The image was very old as it had a purplish color all over it similar to the one that many vintage pictures get when several years pass by. In it, Nathaniel was portrayed wearing a shirt and a thin tie that made him look very good.
Even though the photo itself was impressive, Austin’s caption was the highlight of the post. In it, he confessed that he had been on a trip to connect more with his roots, something that became the ‘enlightenment’ he needed.
Apart from that, the proud son thanked his late father for his strength, which is what Austin treasured the most about him.
As soon as he posted that photo, his fans and followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. One of them was Instagram user @donnadiva141, who pointed out that Austin was blessed to have Nathaniel as a father.
Rebbie, the eldest child of the Jackson musical family, was involved in a romantic relationship with Nathaniel for a long time. According to Biography, he was the singer’s childhood sweetheart, and they finally got married in 1968.
Throughout their time together, they had three children – daughters Stacee and Yashi, and son Austin. Following their family tradition, the siblings are singers and performers. Stacee and Yashi formed a group called X-Girls while Austin embarked on a solo career.
According to I Love Old School Music, Rebbie didn't always support Austin’s music career as she wouldn’t let him do anything related to that industry until he turned 18 years old.
As soon as he reached that age, he started his music career, and his mother started showing her support.
At the moment, Austin is 32 years old, and he has released several singles, including Smile, his latest song.
