Dad suddenly died while holding his eight-month-old baby boy in his arms

42-year-old DJ Giddy breathed his last after telling his girlfriend not to worry about anything and kissing his eight-month-old baby boy good night.

Grimsby Live reported that Mike Hollingworth passed away peacefully at his home in Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire, England, on June 16, 2018.

A famous Grimsby DJ died clutching his young son, Sonnie, in his arms. Hollingworth, known professionally as DJ Giddy, told his little one “I love you,” before falling asleep for the last time.

His grieving girlfriend, Hollie Bridgewater, said she lost her soulmate but knows he will forever live on in their baby son.

She said, “I watched him die. He died peacefully. He wasn’t in pain. I just thought he was snoring. He told me he loved me and told me not to worry. The last person he cuddled was Sonnie – and that brings comfort”

DJ Giddy was well-known in Cleethorpes and Grimsby, and his sudden death has prompted an outpouring of sorrow. Bridgewater received more than 700 messages of condolences.

She is sad that Sonnie will have to live without his father. She noted that her boyfriend is going to miss his son’s first birthday and first Christmas.

She added that he would be remembered forever. It is comforting that his son is “his absolute double.” It is reassuring for her that he lives on in his son.

Bridgewater is struggling to come to terms with Mike’s death which has come as a “massive shock,” and it has not sunk in yet for her. She knows things will never be the same again.

Mike loved his children – Sonnie-Michael Hollingworth, Brody Hollingworth, seven, and Gage Gallagher. His girlfriend said he was proud of her and the children but did not know how much he was loved.

The famous DJ left behind his mother Julie, father Albert, brothers Alan and Stewart, and his “best friend” uncle Andy.
