La La Anthony ditches elegant dresses for casual outfit in birthday picture
La La Anthony shows off her covetable figure in a golden dress she once sported for her birthday celebration with family and friends.
La La Anthony might be used to the glitz and glamour of extravagant birthday celebrations and stunning outfits, but this year she and her husband Carmelo Anthony chose to do something more meaningful during the morning of her birthday. Last Monday, the couple spent La La's birthday morning visiting the home of a slain 15-year-old boy to provide condolences and simple gifts to the child's family.
Lesandro Guzman-Feliz was at a store when he was ruthlessly dragged out and brutally stabbed to death. La La was contacted by the fallen boy's sister, informing her that Lesandro was a huge Melo fan. Knowing this, she decided to bring the NBA superstar to his family's doorstep.
"This is what I wanted to do for my birthday today. Thank you to the gram for connecting me to this family. I wanted to offer our love and support to Lesandro "Junior"'s family. his sister reached out and told me he loved Melo. So I asked Mel to go with me. I can't imagine this type of pain and sadness. His family is strong and may God bless them forever."
The lovely duo made sure to give the family some signed jersey and sneakers, but also provided monetary assistance, even urging others to donate as well.
"This family will be in my heart forever. #justiceforjunior #justiceforjunior"
The Anthonys' trip to the Bronx is different from the way La La usually celebrates her birthday. Last year, she donned a glittering gold Thai Nguyen Atelier gown, Sophia Webster pumps, and H. Stern jewelry for her birthday party. Their son, Kiyan Anthony, looked just as luxurious as his mother, sporting an all-Versace outfit, down to the socks.
Even though La La and Melo splitting in 2017, the two have remained close, and still consider one another as "family". Melo continues to greet his estranged wife on her birthday, expressing his love for her. The Anthonys split in 2017 after reports surfaced of the basketball player being unfaithful.
Despite their breakup, the two of them are not divorced and are not planning to get divorced any time soon. During an interview with The Breakfast Club, Lala shared a little bit more about their separation.
"He's my best friend. When you're with someone for 13 years since they were 19 years old, and you have a 10-year-old child, you'd hope that you guys would be cool. We are the best of friends."
While the two continue to speak highly of one another, they are still separated and will continue to be until they have figured things out. As of now, their top priority is their son, whom La La calls "my heartbeat".
"I've had a couple moments where I've been close to a breaking point. But I have my son to live for; I can't be a great mom if I'm in the corner breaking down. I have to move forward. I'm not the first and I definitely won't be the last to go through relationship issues and marriage problems."
Melo and La La got married in 2010, despite being together years prior. They share one 11-year-old son together, and continue to co-parent their growing boy.
