Celebrating two decades of marriage, Streisand gave her significant other a sweet message on the social media platform on July 1st.

Streisand and Brolin have been known as one of the few couples in Hollywood who has remained strong over the years. On the first day of the month, the pair celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary.

To mark the special day, 76-year-old Streisand wrote on Twitter, ‘Has it really been 22 years since our blind date? Married for 20 years. Happy anniversary honey. Bee. X.’

She also accompanied the message with a sweet photo of herself and Brolin.

Streisand and Brolin met on July 1, 1996, during a blind date. For more details about the couple’s love story, follow us on Twitter at AmoMama USA.

Recalling the special memory in an interview with W magazine in 2016, Streisand shared that she had expected a “bearded mountain-man type” to show up at the date, but she was surprised to see a clean-shaven Brolin.

“I asked him, 'Who screwed up your hair?' He later told me that's when he fell in love with me. My fella likes to hear the truth, which is unusual," she told the magazine.

Exactly two years later, in 1998, the pair tied the knot at Streisand’s estate in Malibu, California.

Celebrities were present during Streisand and Brolin’s big day, including John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston, Tom Hanks and his wife Rita Wilson, as well as Quincy Jones and Sydney Pollack.

According to People, 77-year-old Brolin said at the reception, “I can’t tell you how lucky I am that this would happen to me so late in life. Every night is a new adventure. Sleeping is a waste of time. I can’t wait to see her again in the morning.”

Revealing his secret to a long and happy marriage, Brolin told Entertainment Tonight that the key is having patience, understanding, and saying yes to counseling.

“I do believe in counseling if anybody ever has a problem in their marriage. Bring in a referee, talk it over, and I swear to you, it will dispel by the end of the session, each time! Sometimes in a tough marriage, it’s tough to talk, but if you do, it works!” said the actor.

Perhaps the couple’s secret weapons to a strong relationship are effective since they are very much in love until now and are still looking forward to another two decades of marriage.
