Chance the Rapper gets down on one knee to propose to girlfriend at Fourth of July party in video

Chancelor Bennett, best known as Chance the Rapper, proposed to his long-time girlfriend during an Independence Day party in front of their friends on July 4.

The Shade Room’s Instagram account uploaded the videos that portrayed Chance wearing blue shorts and no shirt while kneeling down in front of Kirsten Corley, who got on denim shorts and a blue blouse.

As soon as the video starts, all the people around the couple were screaming and yelling in excitement for the proposal. Chance held Kirsten’s hand and said: ‘Kirsten Katrina Corley, will you make me a man and be my wife?’

In the second part of the video, the couple’s daughter, Kensli, was standing behind her father. The proud man quickly put the engagement ring in Kirsten’s finger, held Kensli, and kissed his now-fiancée.

For the last media of the slideshow, there was the ring that Chance bought. It consisted of a thin band with a big diamond in the middle of it.

To make things official, Chance took to Twitter to share with his fans and followers that ‘she said yes.’ The couple began dating in 2013, but parted ways in May 2016, reported People.

After breaking up, Kirsten filed court documents to declare Chance Kensli’s father. Apart from that, she was asking the court to be the ‘sole caretaker’ of their daughter and, finally, she asked for child support.

Thankfully for the family, they talked through their problems and reconciled in January 2017, so Kirsten withdrew her filing.

As a way to prove how much he loves his wife-to-be, Chance thanked her and Kensli at the Grammy Awards, when he was accepting his recognition.

More recently – in late May – Chance took to Instagram to share a compilation of photos to honor Kirsten on her birthday.

Even though the pictures were great, the message the rapper wrote was the highlight of the post. Chance labeled his then-girlfriend as his ‘oldest and best friend’ and added that he would be forever grateful that God made him find Kirsten and that she made him find God.
