Mama June posts throwback swimsuit photo for 4th of July

The 38-year-old reality television star, Mama June Shannon, has been on a spectacular weight loss journey and she shares all the ups and downs with her Instagram followers.

On Wednesday, she uploaded a throwback photo to wish her fans a happy 4th of July. The photo was taken right after Mama June lost 60 lb and she wrote in the caption how proud she was of her achievements.

'I remember when I took this picture I had just lost 60lbs and felt great about myself. I’m still proud of this pic and myself for coming so far. Regardless if I gained a few pounds back, I’m still beautimess!'

'Beautimess' is a colloquialism for 'beautiful mess and she also used the hashtags 'love your size' and 'we're all beautiful.' Read more on our Twitter @amomama_usa.

As reported by People, the reason for Mama June's recent weight gain of 25 lb is due to eye surgency. She is not as active now while recovering.

The mother-of-four lost more than 300 lb since the days of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. She is now the star of her show, From Not To Hot.

The famous red-swimsuit-photo has since been recreated, as can be seen in the post below.

Even though she is careful not to gain all that weight again, her vision-related problems now take priority, and she is "just focused on getting [her] vision back."

She is completely blind in her right eye, and the thought of losing vision in her left eye terrifies her. Mama June wants to see her children graduate.

She also wants to see her grandchildren grow up, start school and turn into young adults.

Her family supports her as well, with daughter Alana 'Honey Boo Boo' Thompson telling ET Online that the weight gain is understandable because "she's had so many surgeries in the last six months."
