Eva Longoria shares an adorable photo of her newborn son

Eva Longoria, 43, star of Desperate Housewives, has just become a new mom and shared a lovely photo of herself cuddling her newborn son, Santiago Enrique on Instagram.

Longoria gazes adoringly at her tiny baby, who is swaddled in her green wrap. This is one of the first photos Longoria, has shared of Santiago, who was born on June 19 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. Longoria revealed that the snapshot was taken on the Fourth of July.

Longoria and husband José “Pepe” Bastón shared the first image of their son with the celebrity publication Hola, saying, “We are so grateful for this beautiful blessing.”

Santiago is Longoria's first child, but Bastón has three children from a previous marriage.

“Morning cuddles with this angel are the best!” she wrote in the post’s caption, adding a baby-face emoji and the hashtag, “#HappyFriday.”

Santiago weighed 6 lbs., 13 oz at birth, and was as pretty as a picture, Longoria boasted.

Longoria posted her thanks and appreciation for fans and friends who were supportive over Santiago's birth, Thank you, everyone, for showering my baby boy with all your warm wishes!”

Longoria used the opportunity to call attention once again to the terrible ordeal of the families that have been separated at the border. She said: "Having my son next to me, I cannot imagine him being taken from my arms”

Longoria also wrote a heartfelt message of gratitude for the medical staff who helped make Santiago’s first few days and her experience of childbirth comfortable and safe.

The hardy new mother has got right back into the saddle, doing a photo shoot just weeks after her baby's birth.

Longoria admitted that the shoot was 'hard' and that she felt particularly tired and missed her baby terribly.

Longoria has recovered her svelte figure and is looking as beautiful and shapely as ever.
