Tika Sumpter's fiancé shares photo with their baby daughter enjoying a day at the beach

The fiancée of actress Tika Sumpter, best known as Layla Williamson on One Life to Live, took to Instagram to share a photo of himself and the couple’s only child.

TV host Tika Sumpter’s and her fiance Nick James welcomed their daughter, Ella Loren, into the world on October 8, 2016. Before she had given birth, Tika had chosen to keep the identity of the baby’s father a secret until after she had given birth.

Two years later, the doting father took to Instagram to post a stunning pic with his daughter. In the pic he is portrayed with no shirt on while wearing a blue cap on the beach. Nick was holding the couple’s daughter, 2-year-old, Ella-Loren on his arms, and both of them were looking at the ocean in front of them.

Together they looked out at the ocean in front of them. The little girl was wearing a pale beige polka dot shirt while holding on tight to her father. In the caption, the man confessed that Ella was his ‘ride or die.’

As soon as Nick uploaded that picture, his friends and followers took to the comment section to share their thoughts. They doted over the adorable little girl.

One of them was Instagram user Ashley Oliver, who pointed out that there was nothing similar to the bond that a father and a daughter share.

User @freddy3fred chimed in and said that the photo was absolutely beautiful and that they knew Nick was the proudest man on earth. Another noticeable aspect of the post is that Ella’s face was not visible.

As Celebritist previously reported, the couple has largely protected her identity from the public eye, despite the innumerable number of photos they post of her to their social media accounts regularly.

Tika and Nick met each other on the set of The Haves And Have Nots. They had kept their romantic relationship a secret to avoid negative comments from people who don’t support interracial relationships.

In 2016, Tika got pregnant, so Nick’s identity couldn’t be hidden for much longer. When she was seven months pregnant, she shared the pregnancy news but didn’t reveal who the father was.

It was Tika who eventually divulged information about their relationship. During an interview while she was pregnant she went into details of how she found out and what her at-the-time mystery man had done.

“My pregnancy wasn’t planned. I found out around Valentine’s Day, when my boyfriend took me on a surprise trip to San Diego. I never want McDonald’s, but I was like, ‘I need a Big Mac, fries, and a Coke now.’ They were still only serving breakfast, so I insisted we wait there until they started serving lunch. Afterward, I immediately fell asleep. When I woke up, my boyfriend was like, ‘Ha-ha! Are you pregnant?’ I said, ‘Maybe. Go get a test!’ He brought back a generic-brand test, and right away it said positive. I could not comprehend it. So I said, ‘Go get a name-brand test!’ He did, and that one said yes too. I still have the stick. I had to show it to my mom, because she didn’t even believe me when I told her.” revealed Tika.

She went on to say she is in no rush to get married, even though her mother questioned her about it. The proud mama said,

“I’d love to, but maybe in a year or so. I’ve been with my boyfriend for more than a year and a half. Our relationship is not dependent on a ring. I love him to death, and he loves me to death, and that’s all that matters to me.”

Finally, on Father’s Day in 2017, she announced that Nick was Ella’s proud father.

From that point on, the couple has shared dozens of pictures of themselves and their daughter while being careful not to share her face. One of the most recent images that Tika has shared portrayed Ella riding her own Tesla vehicle, a gift that the little girl had been given by her godfathers, as Tika revealed in the caption.

The only image that has partially shown Ella’s face was uploaded two months ago, and it was a throwback to when the girl was six months old.

It portrayed Ella sitting upright on the sofa staring at Nick as he smiles back at her. The sweet baby girl was wearing a pink onesie with long sleeves and a pink polka dot bib.

‘Hello world. Baby Ella-Loren at 6 months. You’re almost 2 now. You changed my life in every way. Carrying you was magical, but delivering you was complicated. I had pre-eclampsia and was told I could seizure or bleed out. I cry thinking about it. You are my miracle. You are my magic. @nickjames138 thank you,’ captioned Tika.

In another Instagram post, Tika also revealed she was finding it difficult to find the balance between work and being a mum. However, she added that by loving her job she stays happy and can therefore keep her baby happy as well.

I’m proud to join @BabyDoveUS to celebrate all the #realmoms trusting the choices they make for themselves and their babies. #DovePartner” wrote Tika in another Instagram post.
