Here are the photos from 'American Idol' Scotty McCreery's wedding

American Idol Scotty McCreery exchanged vows with his longtime girlfriend, Gabi Dugal, and the photos from their wedding have been doing the rounds on the internet.

The country singer got married to his girlfriend of six years with their close friends and family in attendance. The ceremony was held at Twickenham House & Hall in North Carolina on June 15, 2018.

People reported that the couple had invited about 200 guests for the ceremony in the middle of June. The singer’s childhood pastor officiated the ceremony, and the two exchanged personalized wedding vows during the wedding.

The winner of the 10th season of American Idol said:

“We’ve been dating six years and have known each other our whole lives. That kind of story doesn’t happen too often nowadays.”

McCreery added that the two back each other when it came to chasing their dreams. The couple’s photos from their wedding were published exclusively by the publication.

The reception was a memorable affair where the two, both aged 24 years, had their first dance to the late Elvis Presley’s Can’t Help Falling in Love.

The guests and the newlyweds enjoyed their meals consisting of Cajun dishes, steak, and pasta. As for the cake, the couple opted for pies rather than the usual multi-layered dessert.

Commenting on her wedding theme, Dugal said she stuck with the black, white, and gold color scheme because she wanted a classic wedding.

“I went with greenery and white flowers, some lanterns and candle votives [for a] rustic feel. We fell in love with the mountains during the summertime [when Scotty proposed], and our [venue] is like a little castle in the woods.”

Dugal is a pediatric nurse at Duke University Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.

For their honeymoon, the couple went to Tahiti on June 19. The two then headed back to Seattle to move into their new home as husband and wife.

The winner of American Idol revealed that his single This Is It from his album Seasons Change captures the couple’s love story and describes how he proposed to her.

McCreery won the tenth season of the talent show on May 25, 2011, and released his debut studio album, Clear as Day, in October the same year.

This year has been an interesting one for the singer professionally as well with his single Five More Minutes reaching the top on Billboard and Mediabase in February 2018. His latest album was released in March 2018.
